Rebuilding Together Kansas City is a volunteer-based organization that depends on compassionate volunteers to complete most of our projects.  If you would like to volunteer with us, download our volunteer form below, or contact the office at 816.781.8985 or Info@RebuildingTogetherKC.org.

Here are our opportunities for volunteering:

Our annual House Selection Meeting (when volunteer crew leaders select the house they will transform on Rebuilding Day) usually takes place on the first Tuesday of August.  Contact us to find out the meeting details.

Rebuilding Day is our annual one-day rebuilding blitz when hundreds of volunteers make essential repairs for low-income families.  This event occurs on the first Saturday in October.  You need to attend the House Selection Meeting (see above) to select your house.

Safe at Home is our year-round program that provides home safety modifications for seniors, people with disabilities, and veterans.  Our Safe at Home Volunteers are trained and supervised by our Project Manager.  They work together to create safer and more accessible homes by installing: grab bars, handrails, bathroom assistive devices, wheelchair ramps, accessible showers, and more.

Our Rebuilding Together Store is basically a thrift store for building supplies.  We accept donations of new and used materials, and we encourage anyone to buy and recycle, reuse, and repurpose these materials.  All proceeds support our community service programs.  We need volunteers to assist in all facets of the store, like: picking up donated materials, organizing shelves, cleaning up items for sale, repairing some items, computer and office work, and floor sales. Contact our Store Manager, Ed Kephart, at 816.918.8818 to volunteer.
